Is this funny or is my Mom right and this is mean?

I went to a rodeo and during a break they had a skit I thought was hilarious. A short, middle aged kinda fat guy came running on the field chased by 2 cowboys, he ran around but was roped by one of the cowboys and they did the legs and arms tie thing you see them do to cows. The funny part is that his face was really close to a pile of horse dung, so they moved him over and WHAM face in horse dung, one of the cowboys put his boot on his head for a victory pose! We found out through reading the program that if you sign up for that and can last 2 minutes you WIN 1,000 dollars but if you lose, well...you can see the embarasement, anyways I thought it was kinda funny but my Mom didn't , what do you think?
