My laptop screen turns a solid pastel yellow, why?

Whenever I play football manager (maybe with other games too, not sure as I haven't tried) on my laptop the screen turns a solid block yellow. I can't see anything else other than this screen so I have to switch it off and back on. Strangely enough if I save the game every match it tends to not make it go yellow. Im really confused as my laptop is only 6 months old tops. If you need any more info Ill supply it
